Zach Space represents San Francisco
It's clear that anytime Pelosi needs a vote from him, he's there for her. To heck with his constituents! He represents San Francisco's values much better than the 18th district.
Here he votes to pay for illegal alien's health care with your tax money!
Then he votes to abort babies with your tax money!
This guy needs to go.

Audit the Fed bill has 279 co-spnosers, Charlie Wilson is not one of them. WHY?
Wednesday, July 29, 2009
Big spender (with your money) Charlie Wilson
"This surcharge would affect only 1,100 households in the entire 6th district – that means 99.6% of taxpayers in the district would not see their tax rate change."
Congressman Charlie Wilson, July 29, 2009
Didn't Woodrow Wilson also promise that the new income tax in 1912 would only affect the "rich"?
We see how that worked. There are not enough "rich" people to cover all the costs of "health care".
Zach space no conservative
No conservatism at all. This "blue dog" label that Pelosi has allowed these few democrats to keep is nothing more than quasi cover (for re-election) for them to pretend that they are conservatives. Because, in the end, they support our socialist president's crazy / anti-American schemes.
House Dems to move ahead on health care
WASHINGTON — The House is moving ahead on health care legislation after the leadership and fiscally conservative lawmakers worked out a deal.
Rebellious Democrats who have stalled work said Wednesday they've reached agreement with the leadership and the White House. Four of the seven so-called Blue Dog Democrats on the House Energy and Commerce Committee said they resolved their differences with Chairman Henry Waxman, D-Calif. The lawmakers also had been meeting with White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.
The development allows the panel — the last of three in the House — to complete its work before lawmakers leave Friday for an August recess.
The four are Reps. Mike Ross of Arkansas, Baron Hill of Indiana, Zach Space of Ohio and Bart Gordon of Tennessee.

Maxism / Obama / Media / Honduras
- He's sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. This is an internal affair for the people of Honduras. Didn't he criticize Bush for supposedly doing the same thing?
- Like I said, this is an internal affair that is being taken care of by the rule of law in a sovereign country. It is actually against the law for the President of Honduras to even propose lengthening his own stay in office...which is exactly what he tried to do. The Supreme Court removed him....as required by their laws. Why are we even commenting on this, let alone getting involved?
- Here's the reason. Obama is a Marxist and the deposed President Zelaya of Honduras is a Marxist. Birds of a feather....Hugo Chavez as well. Three peas in a pod.
- Then you have the media calling it a coup? Making it seem like something unseemly happened in Honduras when what really happened was their own laws were followed to a tee. Well, the media is known for it's Marxist leanings.

Don't be fooled, Space is no moderate...neither is Wilson
Speaking of extremism....what is voting for the cap and tax bill if not extreme. The largest tax increase in US history is moderation?
Space is no moderate and neither is Comrade Wilson.
Apparently they are taking turns pretending to be conservatives. Space voted for the cap and tax bill while Bolshevik Charlie opposed it. Now Wilson supports the health care / taxpayer funding of abortions bill and Space is beating his chest like he's really standing up for his constituents....after the cap and tax vote, of course.
These two are lunatics that don't represent the values of southeastern Ohio.

Oil: Protecting the Earth from Renewable Energy for 148 Years
In the environmental Dark Ages before the discovery of oil, man’s energy needs had to be extracted from the living world. Whole continents were deforested in the quest for firewood. Priceless wetlands were strip-mined for peat. Bees were robbed of their wax to make candles. Even when millions were starving, valuable animal fats and plant oils were rendered into fuel to illuminate the homes of the rich.
Alas, it appears those times may soon return as environmentalists, politicians, and the media push for man’s energy needs to be met once more by the limited capacity of field and fjord. But for one brief moment in man’s planet-killing history, oil was there to carry the burden that man would have otherwise hoisted upon the bowed back of nature. Just look at what oil did for the whales.
In the first age of renewable energy, man was so desperate for even small quantities of transportable hydrocarbon fuel (today so damned for its very abundance), that fleets of ships continually patrolled the oceans in search of ever fewer great whales.
Today it is unbelievable that the intelligent whale, universally regarded as a profound natural wonder, was once appreciated principally as a source of lard. But that very fact is testament to energy’s scarcity before the advent of crude oil. By today’s standards, even a large whale has only a negligible amount of oil – perhaps 200 barrels. The entire world production of whale oil was less than 500,000 barrels per year for most of the 19th century.
Yet for this scant annual prize – equal to about 9.6 minutes of production for today’s oil industry – the world’s whales were hunted so nearly to extinction that even today many remain rare. Many species doubtless would have become extinct had Col. Drake not struck oil in Pennsylvania in 1859. That year, U.S. crude oil production was 2,000 barrels. The next year, it was equal to the entire annual whale oil production of 500,000 barrels. By 1861, crude was pumping at 2,000,000 barrels a year and growing. Within a decade, most of America’s whaling fleet was out of business.
Together with coal, oil opened up an unimaginable quantity of energy that came from outside the contemporary natural productivity of the Earth. For the first time, societies could grow far beyond the biological energy limits of their landmass. Wealth skyrocketed. Food supplies were no longer diverted to energy needs. Populations blossomed, and yet man’s energy-motivated environmental depredations fell significantly.
Fossil fuels have provided freedom from the constraints of biology and agriculture to such an extent that most of us have forgotten exactly how energy-poor a world powered by biofuels can be. Consider that the United States consumes nearly 4.39x1016 BTUs of crude oil per year. In absolute energy value, the entire corn crop in the U.S. could provide just 10 percent of that, and the entire world’s corn crop, only 23 percent.
So if the U.S. can cut energy use by 77 percent, find a 100-percent efficient means of converting corn into fuel, and corner all of Earth’s annual corn crop, we can just get by without oil (assuming coal, nuclear, and gas are still OK). And of course, we’ll need to ignore that corn is plowed, planted, fertilized, harvested, and transported with petroleum energy. Factor that in, and I’m sure we could still squeak by at the equivalent of 20 percent of current petroleum capacity, if we also consumed the world’s entire rice crop. What we (and the Chinese) would eat under this scenario is a little unclear (perhaps we could eat the whales), and I suppose the Europeans would be reduced to living off wind power and pine nuts.
But the exercise demonstrates the burden fossil fuels have lifted from the environment, and how accustomed all six billion of us have become to eating. Even the paltry efforts toward already subsidized biofuels have had an impact. The U.S. demand for ethanol has helped drive the price of corn tortillas beyond the reach of some impoverished Mexicans, precipitating calls for price controls and export restrictions. Unfortunately, the competition between mouths and motors can only increase, and the demands placed on our living planet can only get worse as the second age of renewable energy dawns prematurely.Friday, July 24, 2009
You Can't Print Production and Prosperity
Mises story here.
"It's hard to imagine that the monetary policy talk can get any nuttier, but we've likely only just begun. After all, despite the Federal Reserve growing its balance sheet by 140 percent and dropping rates essentially to zero, the bankruptcies just keep on coming."
You can always count of Bolshevik Charlie
While Obama is stoking the race fires, Charlie is stoking the class envy fires.
The cost of health care reform under the legislation is fully paid for: half through making the Medicare and Medicaid program more efficient and half through a surcharge on the income of the wealthiest, those with annual family incomes above $350,000. This surcharge would affect only 1,100 households in the entire 6th district – that means 99.6% of taxpayers in the district would not see their tax rate change.

Obama acting stupidly
"Saying he was unaware of "all the facts" but that police in Cambridge, Massachusetts, "acted stupidly" in their arrest of Henry Louis Gates, Obama whipped up emotions on both sides of an issue that threatens to open old wounds in America."
Who's acting stupidly? Here he is rushing to judgement and whipping up racial tensions before he knew any (let alone all) of the facts. I think we just saw a little of the real Barry seep out a little.
Jackson County times passes off Space press release as "news"
Here the Jackson County Times has a story obviously written by Space's staff being passed off as news. You'd think they'd at least have the journalistic integrity (I know it's an oxymoron) to state the fact that this is a news release.
"Standing up for the needs of his constituents, Congressman Zack Space (OH-18) welcomed the passage of the legislation that funds the ARC at a higher level than last year."
"Space has consistently defended the ARC."
"He is working to restore integrity to the office and create the conditions to bring new industry and jobs to Ohio."
The last one is the best. This from the political hack that just voted against his own district's interests by voting for the cap and tax job killing bill.
ACORN, Jennifer Bruner's best friends, and Sherrod Brown too
ACORN engaged in a scheme to use taxpayer money to support a partisan political agenda, according to a new report from Republicans on a House oversight committee.
The report, released Thursday, accuses ACORN of fraudulent activities and widespread corruption and calls for a criminal investigation into the advocacy group. It offers the first detailed account of the allegations that have dogged the organization in recent months.
ACORN, or the Association of Community Organizations for Reform, has been under constant fire from conservatives since last year for its support of Barack Obama's presidential candidacy and its planned participation in next year's 2010 census.
The executive summary of the report says ACORN provided contributions of financial and personnel resources to indicted former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown and candidate Obama, among others, in what the report calls a scheme to use taxpayer money to support a partisan political agenda, which would be a clear violation of numerous tax and election laws.

Gannett News thinks Zach Space is a conservative
Zach Space just voted for the largest tax increase in US history. Voted with the EnviroNazis in killing our coal based jobs. Voted to raise utility rates....this is just the highlights of the cap and tax bill that Space voted for.
Yet, Gannett News labels him a conservative? What planet are they on? Well, it is the Washington bureau after all.

"Who could possibly claim that buying up drivable used cars at prices far in excess of their market value, for the express purpose of destroying them, will be beneficial for the economy or the planet? Pro-abortion Zach Space
Zach Space votes 100% pro death on July 16th. What is this guy doing representing the 18th district? He votes like he represents some Massachusetts district.
Press release from Ohio Right to Life
U.S. House Approves Tax Funding of D.C. Abortions
The House Rules Committee had adopted a rule (H. Res. 644) governing consideration of the bill that did not permit a vote on an amendment to retain the funding ban. The House approved that rule on a narrow 216-213 vote.
A pro-life motion to recommit H.R. 3170 to committee with instructions to reinstate the funding ban was offered. The motion to recommit was ruled out of order. That ruling was appealed, but the sponsor of the bill moved to table (kill) the appeal. On a vote of 225-195, the motion to table the appeal was approved.
1) APPROVAL OF RULE - Those Ohio Representatives who voted the PRO-LIFE position AGAINST H.Res. 644 were: Steve Austria, John Boccieri, John Boehner, Steve Driehaus, Jim Jordan, Steve LaTourette, Bob Latta, Jean Schmidt, Pat Tiberi, Mike Turner, and Charlie Wilson (11).
Those Ohio Representatives who voted the PRO-ABORTION position FOR H.Res. 644 were: Marcia Fudge, Marcy Kaptur, Mary Jo Kilroy, Dennis Kucinich, Tim Ryan, Zach Space, and Betty Sutton (7).
2) MOTION TO RECOMMIT - Those Ohio Representatives who voted the PRO-LIFE position AGAINST tabling the appeal of the ruling that the motion to recommit was out of order were: Steve Austria, John Boccieri, John Boehner, Steve Driehaus, Jim Jordan, Steve LaTourette, Bob Latta, Jean Schmidt, Pat Tiberi, and Mike Turner (10).
Those Ohio Representatives who voted the PRO-ABORTION position TO table the appeal were: Marcia Fudge, Marcy Kaptur, Mary Jo Kilroy, Dennis Kucinich, Tim Ryan, Zach Space, Betty Sutton, and Charlie Wilson (8).
3) FINAL PASSAGE OF H.R. 3170 - Those Ohio Representatives who voted the PRO-LIFE position AGAINST H.R. 3170 were: Steve Austria, John Boccieri, John Boehner, Steve Driehaus, Jim Jordan, Bob Latta, Jean Schmidt, Pat Tiberi, Mike Turner, and Charlie Wilson (10).
Those Ohio Representatives who voted the PRO-ABORTION position FOR H.R. 3170 were: Marcia Fudge, Marcy Kaptur, Mary Jo Kilroy, Dennis Kucinich, Steve LaTourette, Tim Ryan, Zach Space, and Betty Sutton (8).

Sherrod Brown sounds like Zach Space on Cap and Tax
"U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, meanwhile, is reviewing the climate change legislation.
"He's working on the Senate bill so that it protects Ohio consumers, invests in manufacturing and ensures the competitiveness of U.S. industries," said Meghan Dubyak, spokeswoman for Brown."

Mike DeWine to run for Ohio AG. Not a dream, it's a nightmare!
Another example of laws with unintended consequences
Now, less fixed rate cards are being offered because variable rate cards are tied to the prime rate. So, when the prime rate increases, your interest rates on your credit cards will increase.
With the prime rate about as far low as it can go, you know where the interest rates are going to go, UP.
The new law limits creditors' ability to raise interest rates, but it can't control changes in the prime rate -- the index that's the basis for most variable-rate cards. So even after the new law starts to limit rate hikes, variable-rate cards will still change if and when the index they're based on changes.
Quite a "fix"!!

Another canned letter to the editor defending Zach Space
Poor Zach, he has to rely on form letters sent to supporters to send to papers giving the impression that folks really support his disastrous vote on cap and trade. You'd think they'd at least change the wording around a little to feign originality.
Previous post here. My congressman, Zack Space, has been particularly hard hit by the criticism for voting yes on the American Clean Energy and Security Act and I think it’s unjust.
This bill is investing more than $100 billion dollars in clean coal technology, thanks in large part to Congressman Space.
The 18th district is a coal-producing district. If the majority of Americans believe we should use the resources we have, as many polls show, then using the coal reserves we have should please folks.
The jobs surrounding the coal industry will be secure and it only makes sense that more jobs will come our way to convert our coal burning plants to clean coal burning energy plants.
I say the congressman is doing what is in the best interest of the district and that’s what I expect my congressman to do.
We have to break our dependence on foreign oil and we have to listen to our scientist when they sound the alarm on the effects of green house gases.
With the US being the biggest producer of green house gases we must lead the way on clean energy and we must be able to produce that clean energy right here at home.

Jackson county "humane" society discriminates against light dogs
"Funds available to help with spaying/neutering for big dogs
The Humane Society of Jackson County announces it has funds to help large dog owners spay/neuter their pet(s).
"BIG DOG OWNERS, we've got money for you!!!!! (To help fix your dog, that is.) Call the Humane Society of Jackson County at (740) 286- 6435. No documents required. Your dog should weigh 40 lbs. or more. Please spay/ neuter your pet for 3 reasons: Better behaved dog, Healthier dog, Save lives.
--Lisa Abele treasurer, HS of Jackson County"
As for the 3 reasons they state for neutering "big" dogs.
- Better behaved dog. Well, if you want a dog that wants to lay on his back with this feet in the air better behaved, they are right. What about having the spunk to kill Coons, Coyotes and Groundhogs? What's the point of having a dog in southeastern Ohio if they can't / won't do that?
- Healthier? really?
- Save lives. How?
17,500 slot machines coming to Ohio, thanks to our "anti-gambling" Governor
Dayton Daily News
Ohio.com
Once this is done, it's only the beginning.
Now here's a great letter to the editor.
'Cap and trade' will force companies to leave U.S.
June 26, the U.S. House of Representatives (with the help of our Rep. Zack Space) passed what may be the single most destructive bill in the history of our country. It is labeled "cap and trade" and also is known by the name of the co-sponsors Waxman-Markey or as the American Clean Energy and Security Act. I will refer to it as ACES.
In the midst of a very deep recession, many believe ACES will bring the single largest tax increase in the history of the United States. Many also believe it is totally unnecessary.
Our president recently deliberately lied when he said ACES will "cost the average American about the price of a postage stamp per day." Watch and hear the video of him being honest before last year's election and saying, "Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket" at www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNSZ62xiD4M.
ACES also, once again, makes a liar of Obama, who said there would be absolutely no tax increase on any American who makes less than $250,000 per year (later $200,000). He, of course, also promised a "middle-class tax cut." ACES will be a tax increase on every single American. And, it is not just energy, it's everything it takes energy to produce.
This is a regressive tax that hurts the middle class and poor more than the wealthy! A provision in the ACES bill recognizes this and provides direct cash deposits into accounts of people who are within 150 percent of the federal poverty level to help offset the increasing cost of everything. Great, the middle class not only has much higher costs to pay, but the government will be taking even more of our money to support the poor!
Under another provision, when Americans want to sell their homes, energy Nazis will come in and do an "energy audit." Now your home will be subjected to a new energy rating assessment and energy labeling program that will penalize you for older windows, not enough insulation, not having super-efficient furnaces and air conditioning and owning dated appliances. So ACES would bring down the value of most homes!
OK, that's older homes, but what about new homes? All new homes in the United States will have to conform to California's extensive and very expensive building codes. Great, let's have a bankrupt state show us the way! Now we all can be bankrupt!
How did these and other horrible provisions get in ACES? Well, for one, no person who voted on the bill ever has read it. The original bill had some 1,300 pages and was not available to be read. Thursday night, before the Friday vote, 354 more pages of amendments were slipped in. Even co-sponsor Rep. Waxman admitted he had not read the bill, but said there were "good people writing it."
Why cap and trade? The two main reasons are to limit carbon dioxide emissions and to drastically raise our conventional energy prices enough to make currently non-competitive energy sources such as wind, sun and geothermal more attractive. This is completely unnecessary.
The theory of man-made global warming is a huge scam. More and more competent scientists are saying that. You don't believe me? Just Google "scientists against global warming" and start reading some of the hits you get.
ACES will force even more companies to move out of the United States and go overseas where the business climate is friendlier. You can be certain many countries will not raise their cost of doing business and sign on to this insanity.
We already are getting fed up with many of our politicians. If ACES passes, the American people eventually will wake up to the huge cost and remember who voted for and who voted against this legislation in the House. Rep. Space, I and many others will be actively campaigning against you. Please wake up and learn about this sort of thing. If you value the future of the country, contact your senators and demand they completely stop ACES before it is too late.

More proof that Strickland is gambling with Ohio's budget
This is a budget set up to fail. More budget cuts will happen. Gambling is never a fix, pretty soon we'll be using tax money for gambling addiction programs.
Gambling is a vice and Ted Strickland does not deserve to be our Governor. He was voted into office with him stating over and over that he was against gambling. This guy has no real core values. He says one thing and does another.
From Pennsylvania's experience, it will take much longer than Strickland states to get slot machines up and running....and dumping their ill-gotten gains into the state's coffers.
"Just as anti-gambling groups held up Rendell's proposal by suing, the conservative Ohio Roundtable is vowing to go to court to block Strickland's plan.
The group believes slot machines fall outside the scope of the constitutional amendment authorizing the state lottery 36 years ago.
"We feel (Strickland) is going outside his realm of authority," said Rob Walgate, Roundtable vice president. "We don't think the voters in 1973 voted to authorize slot machines at racetracks." "
Walgate is correct. Who really believes that the voters that authorized the lottery were actually authorizing converting horse racing facilities into casinos? That logic is a huge, unsupported leap!
What's next when this budget does not cover all that it promises? Where's the contingency plan when this budget falls short?
The next time libraries post signs in their windows protesting budget cuts; is Ted Strickland going to legalize prostitution under the authority of the lottery?

Here come the canned letters to the editors supporting Space
"My congressman, Zack Space, has been particularly hard hit by the criticism for voting "yes" on the American Clean Energy and Security Act, and I think it's unjust.
Chillicothe Gazette
"Once again, Congressman Zack Space has stood up for us by voting for an energy bill that will help begin the process of securing our nation's energy independence.
Space voted for this legislation because it secures a future for Ohio's coal industry. By investing more than $100 billion in clean coal technology, Ohio will be a leader in energy production thanks to our coal industry."These are just two. You'd think that they'd at least try to change the form letters and add their own words.
So Zach Space voted to ensure our energy independence and actually help the coal industry? What planet are these people on?
How is voting to increase costs for businesses that use coal going to help the coal industry?
How is increasing our cost of living due to increased electricity rates, higher gas prices...to name a few, a good thing?
What is really going to hammer folks in Ohio and West Virginia the most is the increased electricity costs. Now we can use cheap energy buried directly under us. By increasing the costs to mine and burn coal, our electricity rates will increase. No one knows how much.
Zach Space voted to increase your cost of living and at the same time increase unemployment in his own district by harming a major employer, coal.
Dumb! Just what did Nancy Pelosi promise him to make him vote against his own district's interests?
As for the letter writers telling the world that Zach Space voted for this monstrosity of a bill....please keep it up.
Just who are the real thugs?
You have a group of EnviroNazis invading West Virginia with the intent of shutting down coal mines and with it the jobs that West Virginian's depend on.
It's about time someone started standing up to these EnviroNazis.
This threatening act is a part of a campaign of intimidation where mountaintop removal supporters repeatedly shout obscenities and threaten violence. The June 23rd Protest at Marsh Fork Elementary saw hundreds of mountaintop removal supporters shout obscenities at families and saw one peaceful protester slapped in the face by a woman in miner’s stripes. The week leading up to the Mountain Keepers Festival saw repeated threats of violence to the festival.
Keep in mind that their web post was written to put the best light on the EnviroNazis and the worst light on the folks that actually live there and want to keep their jobs.
So, do you really think they would be outraged if an EnvroNazi had slapped a coal miner? Of course emotions are high when you have an outside group trying to make you unemployed.
Ted Strickland rolling the dice with Ohio's budget
Going to a parade on the July 4th weekend after telling our General Assembly folks that they shouldn't is small potatoes in the hypocrisy department, compared to his past stated opposition to gambling, yet now he, with his own signature, will endorse gambling by expanding it in Ohio.
What's really disappointing with Ted Strickland is his embrace of the vice of gambling. He's now forced it on us without a vote of the citizens. Maybe he did that because we've always said NO.
So, he doesn't care what the voters think....for that matter, he doesn't care what he thinks. He was against gambling clear up until the first part of June. Yes, 2009!
There should be no doubt in anyone's mind that we need a new Governor.

Now, if we could convince our federal government to follow Morgan County's lead
The Morgan County commissioners reported, that due to the shortfall of revenue for the county General Fund, they passed a resolution on July 6 to close those county offices funded by the County General Fund on Fridays, effective July 17 through at least the end of 2009.
The offices affected are: Auditor’s Office, Clerk of Courts, Recorder’s Office, Treasurer’s Office, County Court, Prosecutor’s Office, and the Commissioners’ Office.
Now, if we could convince our federal government to follow Morgan County's lead.....of course when the federal government falls short of funds, it just prints more.

Interesting outside analysis of Ohio's GOP chances next year
One note, while Mike DeWine has name ID, that is not necessarily a good thing in the GOP primary. His poor gun voting record will not help him.
Dave Yost would be a much better pick for Attorney General.
Obama lied, the economy died
(but of course they were there and were used by Hussein on the Kurds, facts and logic are inconvenient things)
Now we have Obama telling us that he was given "incomplete information" when he pushed through his and Charlie Wilson's huge deficit spending wasteful government stimulus package...without giving Congress time to read it...or Congress not demanding time to read it....the latter is more where the blame lies. Here we have the House Majority Leader (a democrat) laughing when asked why congress doesn't read bills before voting on them.
Then we have the morons in the Washington Post already starting to push for more deficit spending while "reporting".
"In light of the latest unemployment figures, there are more persistent questions coming at the administration. Did Obama and his team get it right last winter when they put together their $787 billion stimulus package, or did they undershoot? If they made a mistake, what should they do now?"
Printing $787,000,000,000 out of thin air is an "undershoot"? The soon to come massive inflation and high interest rates will make this recession look like the good old days. Obama and Carter area a lot alike.
The democrats are talking about financing our future even more by borrowing more money to spend! Of course, the media is stoking the fires as well.
Borrowing and spending money that we didn't have caused this mess. Now we think borrowing and spending will get us out? Only government could come to this conclusion.

Thank Charlie Wilson for a "courageous vote"? Give me a break!
Here's one from American Solutions....whom I agree with most of the time.
This time they want us to "thank" our Congressman Charlie Wilson for his "courageous vote".
Isn't this akin to thanking someone for stopping at a stop light? His no vote is an expectation, not a "courageous vote".
First of all, how is it "courageous" to vote for the best interests of your district? I thought that was part of the job description.
While we acknowledged Wilson's no vote here, and it was the correct vote.....Charlie Wilson has voted the wrong way multiple times, voting to increase our debt exponentially is his worst trait.....then watching him take that funny money while traveling the district, tossing it around like...well a politician buying votes, is sickening.
So, American Solutions, don't expect a letter to the editor from me.
Zach Space is a different matter. This guy can't even vote against this one job killing, electric rate hiking bill that directly negatively impacts the residents in his district.
Both of these gentlemen need a new line of work, Zach Space should look for work outside his district. He should not compete with the rest of us for the declining number of jobs in his district after he voted to kill many, many jobs.
"Even though the National Energy Tax narrowly passed the House 219-212, your member of Congress, Charles A. Wilson courageously voted "no" against this job-killing bill. In fact, he was one of 44 Democrats who voted "no."
Let's send a loud message to Congressman Wilson and thank him for standing up for his constituents and not caving in to Speaker Pelosi and the left-wing special interests.
Here's his phone number to call and thank him: 740-376-0868.
After you give him a call, please write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper to help spread the word about Congressman Wilson's courageous vote. When Congressman Wilson makes a principled vote, he needs to hear from his constituents that they support his decision.
Click here for some talking points to help you craft your thank you letter to the editor.
Thank you for making your voice heard.
Sincerely,
Dan Varroney

The EnviroNazi hypocrites need to leave the grid
In 2000, 90% of Ohio's electricity (I've heard it's 87.5% now) was generated by coal burning power plants.
If they truly feel that this is a huge hazard, they need to turn their electric breaker off 90% of the time.
They could spend the extra time blowing weed or something else productive....like the women shaving their legs.
What hypocrisy to use electricity generated by coal to tell us how bad coal is for us! If they really cared about the people around the power plants (if you believe their faked health concerns for us) they'd quit using electricity from the grid.
Again the same argument (all the EnviroNazi groups (a couple of days ago it was the Sierra Club) must get the same talking points faxed to them) about jobs being given to folks outside of Meigs County.
"However, Belz believes that it is no guarantee that the jobs would go to people in Meigs County, and that people from out of town would be the ones most likely to take charge.
"When the Mountaineer Power Plant in West Virginia was being put up, they came in from out of town," she said. "Those weren't local jobs that were being given out.""
Rest of OU Post's story here
And again, there are only so many trained pipe fitters, steel workers, boiler makers, etc in Meigs County. Just because Meigs County won't be able to supply all the manpower needs does not mean this is not a great economic boost for the county.
They're really getting desperate to stop this plant. It would not surprise anyone if they resorted to more drastic / direct action. That would be a mistake.
One more thing. It's nice to finally see our State Representative Debbie Phillips start weighing in on this. I guess late is better than never. It must be awful being an EnviroNazi at heart and having to support coal. You've come a long way baby, er Debbie from your Walmart protesting days.
Powell airs doubts on Obama agenda
"Colin Powell, one of President Obama's most prominent Republican supporters, expressed concern Friday that the president's ambitious blitz of costly initiatives may be enlarging the size of government and the federal debt too much."
Now he's worried? Obama said what he wanted to do during the campaign and RINO Powell still endorsed him...after donating to McCain.
Powell's credibility is so low, why even interview him....well it is CNN after all.
Powell's comments now makes one question his reasoning. It also leads us to only two logical conclusions on why he endorsed Obama to begin with:
- Did he endorse Obama just because of his skin color?
- Did he endorse Obama assuming Obama was lying about his real agenda....remembering that Obama gave us fair warning about what he would try to accomplish if elected.

You'll hear this about Palin over and over
Of course the intent is to slam Palin. Yet, if one would remove the "she" and replace it with "he" one would reasonably think the story is referring to Obama.
But if you dig deeper into the past of the fellow being quoted as some sort of expert, you'll find that he wrote an article for CNN (of all places) titled, "Will 'intellectual' label hurt Obama?"
So he's a complete Obama shill or a great comedian. Because, I've never heard anyone refer to Obama as an "intellectual".
Does the media really wonder why they are losing readership?
EnviroNazi propoganda explained
The EnviroNazis are definitely persistent.
"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. "
Joseph Goebbels.
Strange how our EnviroNazis and the German National Socialists think a lot alike.
"An amendment to the state worker’s compensation budget which could significantly reduce construction costs for the proposed American Municipal Power Generating Station is being call “another unfair Ohio perk for coal” by the Sierra Club."
Yep, that's the last thing we want to do is make it easier for employers to do business in Ohio!
"The amendment, supported by Ohio Sen. Jimmy Stewart (R-Albany), is said to save AMP-Ohio $20-25 million on construction costs by allowing the company to apply for self-insured status with the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation."
Good job Sen. Stewart. It's not rocket science, if we can help a company reduce costs associated with doing business in Ohio, the greater chance they'll employ Ohioans.
"said Nachy Kanfer, with Sierra Club’s ‘Beyond Coal Campaign’ in Ohio. “The Governor should use a line-item veto on this short-sighted subsidy."
The Sierra Club only pretends to care about Meigs county residents when they can twist an argument in their favor. They don't care if you're unemployed.
"The Sierra Club also said in its statement “this development raises new doubts regarding AMP-Ohio’s commitment to its workers;"
Oh yes, that's what it means. AMP doesn't care for it's workers because it's financially capable of self insurance. Remember, these people are not really brain dead. They want to stop all coal, including clean coal technology. They'll do and say anything to stop it.
"Temporary housing would only be needed if AMP-Ohio intended to hire large numbers of workers from outside the local area of the plant. The unemployment rate for Meigs County was 14.1 percent in May.”"
Um, if Meigs county can't supply all the steel workers, pipe fitters, equipment operators, etc, etc....AMP should not build the plant in Meigs county because all the labor won't come from Meigs? Is there some new requirement where one has to work in the county they reside?
"The unemployment rate for Meigs County was 14.1 percent in May.”"
Yes, and the EnviroNazis want to keep it that way.
