ORL is AWOL
Makes no sense. The ORL would, apparently, rather tap dance around this issue with little tweaks to rules. Then, of course, blow and bleat like they've really accomplished something.
Here we have a real proposal that will save lives, yes, that is what we are talking about, saving lives, and the ORL is AWOL. The reasoning is that a court might overturn the law. (which is the court's job, in case you didn't realize, overturning the will of the people)
John Hancock signed the Declaration of Independence (along with many others) and it was treason. George Washington accepted the generalship of the Continental Army, even though it was against the law to take up arms against the mother land.
Yet the Ohio Right to Life can't even offer a word of support for this bill, just because it MIGHT be over turned in court.
Sad.

Being in the kitchen is "sexist"?
So, apparently, if you are a woman and you like to cook, you are demeaning yourself and embarrassing womanhood as a whole. So much for choice.
Of course, Emily's List is an abortion group that is OK with killing women (if they are in the womb), so they really have no right to say much about being demeaning to women.

Schlafly: Health Care Vote Set to Expose the Myth of the 'Pro-Life Democrat'
Schlafly: Health Care Vote Set to Expose the Myth of the 'Pro-Life Democrat'
Ohio Right to Life press release
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE |
On Sunday, March 21, 2010, the U.S. House of Representatives voted 219 to 212 to pass H.R. 3590, the pro-abortion Senate Health Care bill. Nine Ohio Members of Congress voted in favor of this pro-abortion bill - thus providing the votes necessary for its passage. They are: Steve Driehaus; Charlie Wilson; Marcy Kaptur; Dennis Kucinich; Marcia Fudge; Betty Sutton; Mary Jo Kilroy; John Boccieri; and Tim Ryan. Although President Obama agreed to issue an Executive Order supposedly preventing abortion funding under the bill in order to obtain the votes of some of these legislators, the Executive Order will not prevent the pro-abortion effects of the bill. As National Right to Life stated: "The executive order promised by President Obama was issued for political effect. It changes nothing. It does not correct any of the serious pro-abortion provisions in the bill. The president cannot amend a bill by issuing an order, and the federal courts will enforce what the law says." The view that the Executive Order will not correct the pro-abortion problems with the bill was also confirmed by legal experts consulted by the U.S. Catholic Conference and Americans United for Life. "It is particularly infuriating that some of the Ohio Representatives who voted for this bill purport to be pro-life," said Mike Gonidakis, Executive Director of Ohio Right to Life. "Whether they were duped by the executive order or merely trying to give themselves 'political cover,' all of these Ohio Members of Congress are responsible for the largest expansion of federal support for abortion since Roe v. Wade. Pro-lifers should repeatedly make clear to them that their vote for this pro-abortion bill was a huge political and moral mistake and will not be forgotten." Gonidakis said. Persons wishing to express their disappointment at their vote can contact these Representatives at the following numbers: John Bocceri (202) 225-3876 or (330) 489-4414 Steve Driehaus (202) 225-2216 or (513) 684-2723 Marcia Fudge (202) 225-7032 or (216) 522-4900 Marcy Kaptur (202) 225-4146 or (800) 964-4699 Dennis Kucinich (202) 225-5871 or (216) 228-8850 Mary Jo Kilroy (202) 225-2015 or (614) 294-2196 Tim Ryan (202) 225-5261 or (330) 740-0193 Betty Sutton (202) 225-3401 or (330) 865-8450 Charles Wilson (202) 225-5705 or (740) 633-5705 Sincerely, Ohio Right to Life |

Ohio Congressman Charlie Wilson to vote for pro abortion "health care" bill
CNN does not have him listed as a "NO" vote.
The Senate bill will allow tax payer funded abortions. Apparently our Congressman Wilson thinks killing babies is OK?
Monday, October 26, 2009
Why not an abortionist?
The strange thing is, for some reason we want to be "humane" in how we kill killers, yet we could care less how we kill innocent babies.
Ohio struggles to find doctors to offer execution advice
COLUMBUS -- Finding medical professionals willing to advise Ohio on the best way to put condemned inmates to death is proving difficult because of ethical and professional rules, the state's top attorney said.
The rules -- which generally prohibit doctors, nurses and others from involvement in capital punishment -- are deterring those professionals from speaking publicly or privately about alternatives to the state's lethal injection process, Attorney General Richard Cordray said.
"A small number of promising leads have emerged, but identifying qualified medical personnel willing and able to provide advice to the state regarding lethal injection options continues to be challenging and time-consuming," Cordray said in the Friday filing in U.S. District Court.

Open letter to Comrade Congressman Charlie Wilson
From the Monroe County Beacon
Dear Editor,
There are many questions I’d like to ask the Honorable Charlie Wilson. This letter is in response to Charlie Wilson’s letter sent to his constituents via e-mail on 8/19 “Myth vs Fact” on the Health Care Reform Bill.
Statement number five states that this “bill will not cause employer based coverage” (i.e. private) “to be crowded out by a public” (i.e. government) “Insurance option, but that a public option is only one of many choices that will be offered.” However, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that any government option (i.e. funded by our taxes) does not have to make a profit in order to stay in business and that it won’t take long before businesses will drop their private insurance plans for their employees because they can not compete with the government option. This will in turn force many people and employers to turn to the government option. Soon, the government/public option will be the only one left in business and thus we will be a country with socialized health care, see sec. 313 “Employer Contribution in Lieu of Coverage’ in HR 3200. There is no incentive to keep a private option in the plan. By year five all health care will be integrated into the federal system. In addition, as for being able to keep our health care, that is not what the document says on page 16 of the 1017 page bill or Sec. 102 “Choice to Keep Current Coverage” specifically section 102 (2) from HR 3200 which states you will have to merge into the public option if there are any policy adjustments for any reason. Doesn’t sound like we’ll have much choice.
In response to statement number 1 where you state that this bill will not create deficit spending: I ask you why should we believe a government who has failed to run our own government without a deficit and whose Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security programs are all broke - or soon will be? What makes this program any different than ones the government has already tried to run? Based upon the government’s past experiences of handling our money to fund their many programs, they will have to raise taxes to pay for this program too. They will say that costs have risen too quickly or needs are greater than expected and they must increase the tax base in order to continue this program. Once the private insurance companies are out of business, what other choice will each of us have? Each of us are already working till about April 13, every year, in order to pay the government their portion of our money (i.e. taxes). I do believe that if each of us had less taxes to pay (i.e. tax cuts), our greater in pocket cash would allow many more of us to be able to afford some health insurance.
In response to statement number six, where you state that this bill will not cut jobs. I remind you that all those people in the private insurance business, will eventually be out of a job. In addition, in my opinion, it will also dissuade people from wanting to become doctors in the future because their income will have to fixed, by controlling the amount to be paid to the doctor for any type of procedure, etc. Otherwise how else could this government run option manage their finances? So, government will artificially (not be supply/demand) keep costs down – which again is another government control – i.e. loss of the doctor’s liberty.
In response to statement number eight where you state that “There is a terrible myth being spread that health care reform promotes euthanasia.” Now granted, there is no provision in the bill to pay for euthanasia. However, all one has to realize is that there will be a set amount of funds in this program and as in every business, management is always looking for the best way to spend their capital. Unfortun-ately, it most likely will be decided upon by age of the client and the seriousness of the disease. So, if there is a choice to be made between a younger person who needs an operation and an older person who needs one (and there will be many every day), my guess is that the younger person will always win out; one of the reasons being that the elderly one has already lived most of his life and thus the younger person should be given that opportunity now. thus, the elderly will – more often than not – have reduced quality of life care, which can – though not always, lead to a desire to be put out of their pain/problems – i.e. euthanasia. This not not the case with our health care system today. Our elderly have available to them the best health care in the world.
One other point I’d like to raise that was not in his e-mail letter is that Charlie Wilson has always claimed to be a pro-life Congressman. However, in this health care reform bill, even though the term (s) abortion or abortion legislation, are not used, President Obama has said that “reproductive care is at the very heart of his health care plan.” Also, we need to look no further than the federal Medicaid statute which does not mention the word abortion, yet Medicaid had funded as many as 300,000 abortions/ year prior to the enactment of the Hyde amendment. Yet this health care overhaul bypasses the Hyde amendment – which restricts federal funding of abortions through Medicaid; even if it did apply to the health care bill, it would still have to be subject to annual re-approval. So, I ask you Congressman Wilson, how can you support a health care bill that in actuality will be killing many of the babies’ lives that you say you support?
* However, the most important question is one of constitutionality! Our Constitution has never given to the federal government the right to take over private businesses such as this administration has done with the automobile industry, banking industry, mortgage business (Fannie and Freddie) and now the health industry. Our government should never be running the private business sector. That is definitely one of the characteristics of a fascist government. As it states in
This health care reform bill takes away too much of our inalienable right of liberty and gives it to our government to dole out as they see fit – definitely a characteristic of Big Brother Govern-ment knowing what is best (socialism). Instead, let us strive to correct the problems within the private system we have today – such as tort reform, refusing illegal aliens health care who have not payed into the system, etc., all those things that cause our health care costs to skyrocket.
There are other ways to control health costs rather than to give away our liberty to control our own body’s health. I urge you to vote against this horrendous socialistic health plan and to research other ways of reducing health care costs that would enable us to maintain what is left of our free market/capitalistic society on which our country was founded. Once our liberty is gone, it is almost impossible to get back.
Let us never forget the lives and fortunes that our founding fathers sacrificed for our precious freedoms as well as Patrick Henry’s famous words: “Give me liberty or give me death.”

Zach Space represents San Francisco
It's clear that anytime Pelosi needs a vote from him, he's there for her. To heck with his constituents! He represents San Francisco's values much better than the 18th district.

Here he votes to pay for illegal alien's health care with your tax money!
Then he votes to abort babies with your tax money!
This guy needs to go.

Don't be fooled, Space is no moderate...neither is Wilson
Speaking of extremism....what is voting for the cap and tax bill if not extreme. The largest tax increase in US history is moderation?
Space is no moderate and neither is Comrade Wilson.
Apparently they are taking turns pretending to be conservatives. Space voted for the cap and tax bill while Bolshevik Charlie opposed it. Now Wilson supports the health care / taxpayer funding of abortions bill and Space is beating his chest like he's really standing up for his constituents....after the cap and tax vote, of course.
These two are lunatics that don't represent the values of southeastern Ohio.

Pro-abortion Zach Space
Zach Space votes 100% pro death on July 16th. What is this guy doing representing the 18th district? He votes like he represents some Massachusetts district.
Press release from Ohio Right to Life
U.S. House Approves Tax Funding of D.C. Abortions
The House Rules Committee had adopted a rule (H. Res. 644) governing consideration of the bill that did not permit a vote on an amendment to retain the funding ban. The House approved that rule on a narrow 216-213 vote.

Ohio Senate Committee Passes Anti-FOCA Resolution
Ohio Right to Life news release:
" On Tuesday, June 16, 2009, the Ohio Senate Health, Human Services and Aging Committee passed S.C.R. 6 by a vote of 6 to 3.
S.C.R. 6, which is jointly sponsored by Sen. Tim Grendell and Sen. Steve Buehrer, urges the President and Congress to oppose the federal Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) and similar legislation.
S.C.R. 6 states that FOCA "is a radical attempt to enshrine abortion-on-demand into American law, to sweep aside existing laws that the majority of Americans support, such as requirements involving fully informed consent, parental involvement, and that licensed physicians perform abortions, and seeks to prevent states from enacting similar protective measures in the future".
The resolution also describes FOCA as "a cynical attempt to prematurely end the debate over abortion and declare 'victory' in the face of mounting evidence that the American public does not support the vast majority of abortions being performed in the United States each year and that abortion has a substantial negative impact on women".
"We are pleased that the committee has recognized and rejected the extreme nature of FOCA," said Mike Gonidakis, Executive Director of Ohio Right to Life.
Committee members voting the Pro-Life position FOR S.C.R. 6 were: Chairman Kevin Coughlin; Steve Buehrer; Karen Gillmor; David Goodman; Kirk Schuring; and Jimmy Stewart.
Committee members voting the Pro-Abortion position AGAINST S.C.R. 6 were: Ray Miller; Sue Morano; and Shirley Smith."

Abortionist Tiller dead
Why is his death more noteworthy than all of those that he killed?
Where's the outrage when voiceless innocents are killed? Where is the hand wringing and worrying when we abort babies everyday? Complete silence.

RINO Powell
"He is pro-choice regarding abortion, and in favor of "reasonable" gun control.[47] He stated in his autobiography that he supports affirmative action that levels the playing field, without giving a leg up to undeserving persons because of racial issues. Powell was also instrumental in the implementation of the military's Don't ask, don't tell policy."
But he wants the GOP to follow his lead. Why not have 2 socialist parties after all? Now we have one socialist party and one socialist lite.
If the GOP does what he wants, the Libertarians and Constitution Parties will make a lot of head way with conservatives.
Now, at least the GOP pretends to be conservative....while they need the conservative votes......then govern like democrats after the conservatives elect them....having a hard time getting Bob Taft, George Voinovich, Mike Dewine, Arlen Specter, Olympia Snow etc, etc, out of my mind.

Obama asks for greater understanding as debate rages around Notre Dame
Dispatch story here.
This reminds me of another great American thinker, Rodney King. (Can we all just get along?)
Trying to change the subject and making abortion one of those "you have your opinion and I have mine" sort of like, rooting for the Browns over the Bengals.

50,000,000 abortions, choices, dead children so far and counting. Yet, he wants to talk and talk and talk.
Shame on Notre Dame.
*Not sure if Notre Dame has any honor to bestow, after this travesty.
Thursday, April 30, 2009
Jeanette Moll is right
She is correct that Notre Dame should not have invited our abortion President to speak, but follow this further and you'll find a vast left wing hypocrisy.
Here we have Obama telling us that we are going to quit being mean to Muslim Terrorists that want to kill us, because it's "immoral".
Yet at the same time he is supporting and promoting abortion here and worldwide with your tax money.
He invites all kinds of sexually confused perverts to the White House "Easter" Egg roll.....but he uses morality as the reason why we can't yell at terrorists who want to slit our throats. (Easter Egg is in quotations because eggs have as much to do with Easter as Santa Claus has with Christmas...nothing)
Silence from the so called media.

Yes we can, use your money to fund abortions
Obama lifts restrictions on abortion funding. 1/23/09
"When we wake up every morning to a deepening financial crisis, it is an insult to the American people to bail out the abortion industry," said Charmaine Yoest, president of Americans United for Life.
Sunday, January 11, 2009
One sick society we have.
The fact that we even need such a law makes one's stomach turn.
"Although we have a statute requiring professionals to report child abuse, recent reports indicate that some abortion facilities failed to report sexual abuse of minors by adults. This new law will clarify that a failure to report can result in recovery of damages and that evidence of a pattern of failing to report abuse can be used in a lawsuit seeking such damages," Gonidakis said."
The hypocrisy here is there for everyone to see. These monsters are too busy killing babies to report child abuse. They are committing the ultimate child abuse. THEY ARE KILLING THEM!
We, as a nation, have let 9 people, at one point in history (1973), say it is "legal" to kill babies. Even though they had no right or duty to make laws. We, the country that gained our independence by fighting the greatest military force in the world, have let 9 feeble men force a "right" down the throats of the majority which has resulted in the deaths of 49,551,703 fellow Americans. I bet the British wish they had thought of this in the early 1770's.
On the other hand, I'd bet that their morals would have let them lose a war rather than partake in a holocaust.
Just for comparison: 49, 551,703 people is equal to the current population of Denmark, Finland, Israel, Switzerland, Austria, Sweden and Bulgaria COMBINED!
We have the gall to think that Hitler was a monster.

You wanted change, you got it.
"One of Bush's first acts was to reinstate full abortion restrictions on U.S. overseas aid. The restrictions were first ordered by President Reagan and the first President Bush followed suit. President Clinton lifted them soon after he occupied the Oval Office and it wouldn't be surprising if Obama did the same."
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081109/ap_on_go_pr_wh/obama
So, the first thing he's going to do is lift the restrictions on abortions that were tied to US aid funding.
Then he's going to make it harder for us to drill our own oil in our own country.
We've got change alright.
