Hysterical media + uninformed public + pandering politicians = Laws with unintended consequences.
Marietta Register story about the new asbestos hype, lead.
This law threatens to close local thrift stores just when people need to find inexpensive items due to hard times (mostly due to high taxes in Ohio).
p.s. the public is uninformed because they listen to the hysterical, one sided media.
By the way, you've probably already guessed it, our Congressman Charlie Wilson was a co-sponsor to this dumb law.
This guy is great for a blogger, but a disaster for the conservative 6th district.
