Obama acting stupidly

Reuters "story" here

"Saying he was unaware of "all the facts" but that police in Cambridge, Massachusetts, "acted stupidly" in their arrest of
Henry Louis Gates, Obama whipped up emotions on both sides of an issue that threatens to open old wounds in America."

Who's acting stupidly? Here he is rushing to judgement and whipping up racial tensions before he knew any (let alone all) of the facts. I think we just saw a little of the real Barry seep out a little.

Powell airs doubts on Obama agenda

Washington Times story

"Colin Powell, one of President Obama's most prominent Republican supporters, expressed concern Friday that the president's ambitious blitz of costly initiatives may be enlarging the size of government and the federal debt too much."

Now he's worried? Obama said what he wanted to do during the campaign and RINO Powell still endorsed him...after donating to McCain.

Powell's credibility is so low, why even interview him....well it is CNN after all.

Powell's comments now makes one question his reasoning. It also leads us to only two logical conclusions on why he endorsed Obama to begin with:
  1. Did he endorse Obama just because of his skin color?
  2. Did he endorse Obama assuming Obama was lying about his real agenda....remembering that Obama gave us fair warning about what he would try to accomplish if elected.

Michael Steele Becomes First African-American Republican Chairman

Michael Steele Becomes First African-American Republican Chairman

"Also a factor in Steele's victory is the fact that he is an African American, a sign that shows the GOP is ready to change and open it's doors to be more inclusive of minorities."

Don't you love reporters? They can't think for themselves, but they sure can repeat what liberals say about Republicans.

They must have forgotten, Collin Powell, Clarence Thomas, Ken Blackwell, Condi Rice, etc., etc...

And of course the reporter is reporting on Michael Steele who, himself was the first African American elected to statewide office in Maryland...as a Republican.

Reporters don't let little things like facts get in the way of flashy one line zingers in support of the dems.

Race an issue for the Media, not Appalachians

As Athens votes for Obama, Appalachia votes for McCain

Even in this balanced story from the Athens News (yes, they have some) the reporter could not help himself from asking the race question......you know, these people are from Appalachia, so they must be racists, right?

Asked if race could have played a factor in Appalachian counties voting for McCain, Tribe said, “probably a little bit, but I don’t think it’s a whole lot.”

Then as if once wasn't enough to make his point (or maybe he didn't get the answer he wanted), he had to ask another interviewee the same question:

"Asked about race, he said that it also could have played a role.
“I would also argue that the issue of familiarity played a part in the amount of support that McCain did get,” Miller said. “Part of that familiarity does have a racial element to it.”"

It's the media that keep the racial tensions burning, not the residents of Appalachia.
