Representative asks for $8 million in earmarks

Representative asks for $8 million in earmarks

"The largest amount requested for OU was $2.6 million for the Distributed Power from Wastewater project, according to Wilson's Web site. The money would help "by creating technology that will make military base camps more self-sufficient and more energy efficient." "

Fuel out of urine.

I'm not kidding. See this "press release" on his website. We'll see how long they keep this link up now that people will be looking at it. (Remember, he took his debt clock off his website after we mentioned the irony of him voting to increase the deficit (many times) yet he was highlighting how fast the debt was growing?)

"Wilson chose the nine OU proposals to recommend to the House Appropriations Committee because they fulfilled his personal guidelines. A project must encourage economic development, create employment and foster one of Wilsons's key priorities: health care, energy independence and education, a representative from Wilson's office said. "

I think his number 1 "guideline" (I found that funny too) is projects that waste millions of taxpayers money, but have titles that sound palatable. This way he can come back to the district with his table scraps and beat his chest like he's really done us a great favor by increasing our deficit just so he can get reelected.
