Don't you love the media?

Here's a story about something that happened in Troy Township last night.

"Tense Moments In Coolville Standoff" the headline says.

One would be led to believe that the "standoff" occured in Coolville.  The issue is that there is not a Brimstone Road in Coolville.

The residence just happens to be served by the Coolville Post Office which has the zip code of 45723.  So, if you live in the 45723 zip code............well, you must live in Coolville.

I really like it when they report on an event at the Eastern high school.  They claim that the high school is in Reedsville, which is about 15 miles away (by driving) maybe 11-12 miles if you were a crow.

Both Tuppers Plains and Chester are about 2-3 miles from the school, but the school get's their mail from the Reedsville Post Office, hence the school magically is in Reedsville.

Why can't the media just say the incident occurred in Troy Township?  If it occurs in Coolville village limits.....then say it occurred in Coolville.

Amazing the lazy reporting we get.  It's not only the big things that makes one not believe the media, it's little things like this as well.  If they can't get this right, what else are they wrong on?

On a side note, I'm impressed with the Sheriff's office in their restraint.  Usually these types of episodes result in law enforcement burning a house down with the alleged offender still inside.
